Meet Dr. Sara
Dr. Sara Spector brings over 15 years of orthodontic experience to Jawz Orthodontics, combining advanced clinical expertise with a deeply personal approach to care. She treats children, teens, and adults, from early guidance at age six to adult smile transformations, with treatment plans that are carefully customized to the individual.
Dr. Sara is experienced in traditional braces, clear aligners, custom bracket systems, orthopedic appliances, gum laser procedures, and long-term retainer maintenance. She also has particular expertise in treating patients with special needs, thoughtfully adapting each plan to ensure comfort, clarity, and successful outcomes.
Born and raised in Dayton, Ohio, Dr. Sara comes from a family of physicians and has always been drawn to healthcare. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign before completing her dental degree at The Ohio State University.
Orthodontics inspired by family, driven by care
After practicing general dentistry and completing an orthodontic fellowship at the University of Florida, she pursued her orthodontic residency at Saint Louis University, graduating in 2009 with a specialty certificate in orthodontics and a Master’s degree.
Following residency, Dr. Sara opened and led a successful private practice in Birmingham, Alabama for 10 years. In 2020, she relocated to the Chicago suburbs, where she continues to stay at the forefront of orthodontic advancements through clinical collaboration and ongoing education in custom braces, orthopedics, and aligner therapy.
Outside the office, Dr. Sara enjoys running, crafting, and spending time with her two sons. As a busy mom herself, she understands how valuable your time is. Her goal is to make orthodontic treatment efficient, smooth, and personalized, delivering thoughtful, one-on-one care designed around each patient’s unique needs.
